Gas and air
separation solutions

Gases – from industrial to rare – are strategically important for the functioning and development of numerous economic sectors. This is why OMZ has established Russia's only innovative technology cluster focused on gas and air separation.

The cluster companies bring together competencies spanning the entire industry value chain – from fundamental science and technology development to the delivery of engineering solutions for gas and air separation, and the production of LNG, gas engine fuel, and rare gases, alongside on-site supply of industrial and rare gases.

Historical background

Bringing together the gas and air separation industry is not without historical precedent. In 1943, Nobel laureate and twice Hero of Socialist Labour, Academician Pyotr Kapitsa, was appointed head of the newly established Department of Oxygen Industry under the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR.
